Prokart Engineering was started by Ted Poole in the mid nineties, Ted grew the company around Prokart supply and racing, giving great service and back-up for those wishing to race.

In 2002 Ted decided to move on to a new business venture so the company was put up for sale, at the same time Jeff Johnson was taking voluntary redundancy from BT so decided to buy the business from Ted.

Jeff having been involved from karting from the late seventies competing in 100cc classes and Gearbox classes, then onto Prokarts.

Taking over, maintaining the standards , giving extra services with engine rebuilds and branching out into other classes within the karting community.

Local circuits we support at are Clay Pigeon (Dorset)  Mansell raceway Dunkeswell (Devon) and Forest edge kart club Nr Andover (Barton Stacey)

Also providing driver and team support at selected British Championship Events.

Today Prokart Engineering provides chassis supply, engine rebuilds, trackside support including coaching for drivers, adults/juniors/cadets.
